“My working life has been in graphic design, I was based in London for 12 years and worked with many exciting brands. Although I had actually started out studying at (what was then) the Institute of Art & Design in Farnham, a degree course in 3D design (metals). Ultimately I wanted to be a jewellery designer. I’ve always loved making and am very drawn to graphic, bold designs and prints.
In 2010 my friend and I started screen printing together (literally from our dining tables) for fun. My love for squeegees and gooey inks has grown from there. I’ve kept my hand in where I can whilst bringing up our young family and in 2019 after my youngest started school I began Bella + Phoenix - their middle names, in case you wanted to know :) - a children’s brand inspired by nature, with a fun educational slant.
I mainly print t-shirts, sweaters and notebooks. I’m also passionate about ethical production and I’m by no means perfect but I am constantly looking for more environmentally friendly ways that I can do things. Please check out my Instagram page to see what I’m up to!”
