“I’m a still life artist creating drawings of everyday vintage items in pastel, pencil and charcoal on both paper and board. A single object dramatically altered in scale with emphasis on form, light and shade and referencing it’s history showing signs of wear and tear.
I’m a very keen user of dry media and love the immediacy and tactile quality of the various pigments at my disposal and how they then relate to the background texture i’m using. My current body of works are teaspoons drawn on vintage tea chest panels from India.
My work has been shown and sold both in the uk and overseas and I have had great success exhibiting as part of the Pastel Society Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries over the past five years or so.
I really enjoy commissions so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
