“I am Portrait Painter and Teacher working out of Lewes. I love to capture what is unique about each subject, human or animal, painting from photographs or life depending on your time and budget.
After working in commercial design for 20 years in the UK, Hong Kong and New York, I followed my dream studying for 4 years with Barcelona Academy of Art graduating in 2020. I currently run workshops at The Paddock Studios in Lewes, teaching ‘Academic Life Drawing’ and ‘Beginner’s Oil Painting’. I feel passionately about preserving and passing on the techniques of the Old Masters which gives my students a platform from which to develop their practice.
I am fascinated by people and what they choose to show us. I am greatly influenced by Rembrandt and his understanding of light and by everything John Singer Sargent.
