“As a professional photographer based in Lewes, I undertake take commissions and have a personal artistic practice. The main areas of my work are portraiture, architecture and events. When photographing people, I strive for beautiful informative portraiture, often un-posed, of celebrations, daily activities and work environments.
I document the restoration of heritage buildings and the construction of new builds and photograph completed architectural and interior design projects. These range from private residences to monumental civic structures like the Corn Exchange and Madeira Terrace in Brighton and Depot Cinema in Lewes.
My personal artistic work is in cyanotype, a hand-printed darkroom technique from the 1840s that I use in combination with digital technology. Cyanotypes of landscapes, seascapes, architecture, and a series of Lewes Bonfire portraits, are my ongoing subjects. A book of my Bonfire portraits is available for sale. Hand-bound books of my cyanotypes of sea and shore will be available soon.”
