“My expressive fragmented figures celebrate the strength and beauty of the human form. Through twisting, arching and stretching my forms express tension and energy capturing movement in clay. I love life drawing and regularly attend classes to continue to develop my understanding of the human form. I also love ancient fragmented sculptures, using the torso as my main focal point.

After studying a Fine Art degree in the 1980’s I spent a few years in London working on commissions before going to Glyndebourne to make stage props. I then became interested in teaching Art and Design and worked at Sussex Downs College for many years continuing my love for sculpture and life drawing in my spare time.

On leaving teaching over three years ago I have focused my energies working in my studio working figuratively in clay and enjoy outcomes in ceramics, plaster and bronze.”
