“My practice is about form-finding; objects in our hands and on our tables,  the preciousness of everyday objects for everyday rituals.

My practice is an exploration of the familiar form we know to be the spoon. An object rooted in utility and of daily ritual that represents something positive. Slowly and with full focus she concerns herself with refining and continually assessing the objects, how people will interact with them, balance and craftsmanship."

Annie uses traditional hand tools and works in a variety of locally sourced green wood in Sussex. She is a visiting tutor at West Dean College, Sussex University, Product Design and also teaches privately. She has a degree and masters in silversmithing and visual art and has worked previously as a product designer and jeweller. These experiences have offered skills and laid the foundation for a transition to working in wood and creating handheld and very ‘human’ objects.
