“Walking the Sussex coastline, I capture the power of the sea and the force of the wind in paint. My current paintings are records of a fleeting moment, responding to a particular experience with the directional forces of a paintbrush. The sea is continually alluring and it is an ever-changing, awe-inspiring natural landscape that stimulates your mind and senses. I am drawn to all kinds of seas from calm undulating waves to wild, raging storms and endeavour to seize the intensity with simplified marks and a minimal colour palette.
